Frank Bzorek

Frank Bzorek 87, of Harwick, passed away on April 20, 2016 in The Veterans Administration Hospital of Aspinwall. He was born in Curtisville #1 on January 29, 1929 to the late Frank and Mary Kopacz Bzorek and has been a lifelong resident of the Valley. Mr. Bzorek served in The U.S. Army as a Sargent during the Korean Conflict. He escorted the Lieutenant in the tank convoy and was the lead tank driver. After the service, he opened Franks Barber Shop in Bakerstown where he was in business for 46 years before retiring. He enjoyed dancing and listening to Slovenian and Polish music as well as vacationing in Wildwood Crest N.J. with his family. Frank also liked to play the Pa. Lottery now and again. Surviving Him is: Loving wife of 62 years Elizabeth Bibri Bzorek Son Frank (Diane) Bzorek of Cheswick Sister Ann Stack of Winter Haven Fla. Many nieces and nephews and loving God Children Besides his parents he was also preceded in death by 3 brothers Joseph, William and Carl Bzorek. Friends will be received on Thursday April 21st from 5-8pm in THE CHARLES B. JARVIE CHESWICK FUNERAL HOME INC. 1607 Pgh. St. with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated on Friday April 22nd at 10am in Our Lady of Victory Church with Rev. Alan Morris Officiating. Burial will follow in Deer Creek Cemetery.
