Richard Heinick

Richard P. Heinick 82, of Florida, formerly of Springdale, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving sister Jean and her husband Dr. Ronald Chludzinski. He was born in Indianola on March 21, 1934 to the late Paul and Margaret Puskar Heinick and has been a longtime resident of the valley. Richard graduated from Springdale High School in 1952 and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean war, after his discharge, he then attended Duquesne University where he majored in chemical engineering. He worked for PPG Industries in the lab as a chemist and also Reichold Co.; where he eventually retired. He was an avid golfer belonging to many country clubs in the area but his real passion was his flowers and gardening. Surviving him are: Sisters Jean (Dr. Ronald) Chludzinski of Monroeville Nancy (Martin) Martonik Nieces Stacie (Andy) Zarroli and their 3 children Sandra (Lt. Colonial Jonathon) Muenchow and their 5 children Maria (Paul) Worst and their 4 children Nephew David (Ashley) Chludzinski Besides his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife Regina whom he will be laid to rest beside. Friends will be received Friday July 15th from 2-4 and 6-8pm in THE CHARLES B. JARVIE SPRINGDALE FUNERAL HOME INC. 801 Pgh. St. Funeral Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday at 10am in St. Alphonsus Church with the Rev. Kenneth Kezmarsky officiating, with burial to follow in Deer Creek Cemetery.
