Christine A. (Knurek) Jones

Christine A. (Knurek) Jones 75, of Lawrenceville, passed away March 2, 2026, at home with her family at her side.  She was born in New Kensington on July 30, 1950.  Christine drove school bus for ABC, formerly Laidlaw, for Fox Chapel School district where she eventually retired.  She enjoyed boating, rescuing stray cats and taking road trips with her sweetie. 

Christine is survived by her loving husband Robert J. Jones Jr.

Son’s Michael (Lisa) Berkoben and Sean (Lynn) Berkoben

Daughter-in-law Heather Berkoben

Six grandchildren; Aubree and Andrew Nutter-Berkoben, Alex Berkoben, Megan, Sonny and Natalie Jones as well as three great-grandchildren.

Christine was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Natalia (Rita) Wojdecki-Knurek, brother Walter (Wally) Knurek and son’s Matthew Berkoben and Robert J. Jones.

Visitation is Thursday March 5, 2026, from 3-7pm in THE CHARLES B. JARVIE SPRINGDALE FUNERAL HOME INC. 801 Pgh. St. With funeral services on Friday March 6, 2026, at 10am with burial in Deer Creek Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Christine’s memory to Humane Animal Rescue League of Pittsburgh.
