Larry P. Garmong, 79 of Springdale, passed away at home with his family by his side on February 6, 2026. He was born on April 4, 1946, to his late parents, Edward and Grace Shoup Garmong. Mr. Garmong graduated from Ford City high School before serving his country in The U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. After his discharge, he later worked for PPG industries in Springdale where he eventually retired from. Larry belonged to the Springdale VFW where he was a former trustee. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and especially dancing, where he earned the nickname “rubber band man.” He will be sadly missed.

Daughter Jennifer Matthews of Ohio
Daughter Kimberly Garmong of Natrona
Brother Donald (Betty) Garmong of Red Bank
7 Grandchildren and 8 Great-grandchildren
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings; Frank, Harold, Arnold, Ralph and Edward Garmong and sister’s; Blanche Brode, Olive Morhac, Alberta Bouch, Martha Garmong and Loretta Cline.
